BOSTON HARBOR WALK
Boston Harbor walk is a public walkway that follows the edge of Boston Harbor. It runs just a few blocks from the YOTEL Boston and leads all around the Harbor, south past Pleasure Bay to the Old Harbor and Savin Hill Cove. You’ll pass the JFK Presidential Library and Museum and you can follow it further right down to the 66-acre Pope John Paul II Park.
An indoor marketplace where you can find fresh local produce. The Market hosts 40 local farmers, fishers and food entrepreneurs. You can also find ‘KITCHEN’, a demonstration space with hands-on cooking demonstrations, talks, activities and other types of events. Boston Public Market is a seven-minute drive or 20-minute walk from YOTEL Boston.
The New England Aquarium houses over 2000 species of marine creatures, including penguins, sea dragons, turtles and sea lions. You can also find Simons IMAX Theatre and the New England Aquarium Whale Watch (April-November) within the New England Aquarium site. The New England Aquarium is a five-minute drive or 15-minute walk from YOTEL Boston.
The Institute of Contemporary Art is a waterfront art museum and exhibition space located a stones’ throw from YOTEL Boston. The museum was founded as the Boston Museum of Modern Art in 1936 to exhibit contemporary art. It includes a glass-enclosed gallery suspended by cantilever above Boston Harbour. The Institute offer a variety of permanent and temporary exhibits in this attractive waterfront building. The Harpoon Brewery and Beer Hall in Seaport offers tours educating visitors about the brewery’s history and brewing methods, offering all those of age (21+) free samples. The tour takes an hour and costs $5. In the Harpoon Beer Hall visitors can also enjoy straight-from-the-source draft beer and hand-rolled pretzels. Boston Common is America's oldest public park, founded in 1634, while the Public Garden is the country’s first botanical garden, established in 1837. Appreciate the diverse mix of plants as well as monuments and fountains. The Public Garden includes a pond and Swan Boat hire, in operation for 140 years. Boston Common is a 15-minute drive or 25-minute walk from the YOTEL Boston Hotel.
