ANIME BOSTON (MARCH 30 – APRIL 1, 2018)
Anime Boston is a three-day convention that celebrates Japanese animation, comic books and popular culture, with live music performances and explorations of Japanese historical culture. In 2018 it takes place over Easter weekend 30th March to 1st April.

DINE OUT BOSTON (MARCH AND AUGUST)

Foodies will love Dine Out Boston, a festival held in March and August each year offering locals and visitors the chance to sample culinary delights at a range of Boston restaurants. Participating restaurants offer special set lunches and dinners from $15 to $38, so it’s the perfect time to try something new.

Pride comes to Boston for a week-long colourful carnival in June. Various locations around the city host film screenings, lectures, parties and parades to celebrate lesbian, gay, bisexual and transsexual equality, identity, culture and politics.
This series of boat and history-themed events (June 10 – July 4, 2017) takes place across a number of locations in Boston, most notably around the harbour. This family-friendly festival includes the fourth largest US Fourth of July celebration, as well as boat tours, cruises, live entertainment and historical reenactments.

TURNING OF THE USS CONSTITUTION (JULY 4, 2018)
History fans will love the turning of the USS Constitution, affectionately known as “Old Ironsides” (July 4, 2018). This commissioned naval vessel’s history can be traced back to 1797, with the ship taken for a brief turning voyage annually to ensure that the vessel weathers evenly.

TEDX CAMBRIDGE (OCTOBER & JUNE)
TEDx Cambridge takes place twice a year in Spring and Fall and is one of the longest running independent TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) conferences in the world. THEATRE AND MUSIC EVENTS AT THE WANG THEATRE
Just across the road from the Shubert Theatre on Tremont Street, the Wang Theatre is also steeped in history, having opened in 1925 as the Metropolitan Theatre. Today it is known as a lavish venue for some of the best theatre, music and dance shows.
Restored in 1983, the theatre can accommodate 3,500 people and is one of the largest stages in the United States. Upcoming performances include comedian Chris Rock (November 25th – 26th), acapella pop group Pentatonix (December 12th – 14th) and Rodgers & Hammerstein’s production of The Sound of Music (May 1st – 13th 2018).

THE BOSTON TEA PARTY RE-ENACTMENT (DECEMBER 16, 2018)
The Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum is celebrating the 245th anniversary of the Boston Tea Party on December 16th with a free historical re-enactment. Volunteers from across New England recreate the protests aboard the reproduction colonial ship, the Brig Beaver, to honour this key event in the American revolution.
