Why did YOTEL New York institute an Experience Fee?
We continuously improve our offering on ‘FOUR,’ our expansive 15,000 sqft open public space, accessible to all guests. In addition to enhancing the guest experience with seasonal cultural events, we offer complimentary super-fast WiFi, co-working spaces and a 24-hour gym. We've recently upgraded our offering even further to provide guests with more flexible dining options, as well as a new entertainment venue with live performances and enhanced meeting spaces.
The $30 per night fee provides value with a $15 per day food and beverage credit as well as 10% off tours and theatre tickets when booked directly through the in-house concierge located on ‘FOUR.’ The credit may be used at:
- The Galley Espresso Bar all-day dining menu
- Food-to-Go menu items for in-cabin dining
- Green Fig restaurant & bar
- The Terrace’s ‘Social Drink & Food’ menu
- The Green Room 42’s entertainment venue- towards food and beverages during performances
Note that the Fee is subject to 8.875% local sales tax so the full amount per day inclusive of tax is $32.66.
The fee applies to any channel selling YOTEL including our Contact Centre and Online Travel Agencies (OTAs) like Expedia and Booking.com. Some hotels refer to Experience Fee as Service Fee or Resort Fee. You may also see these terms on OTAs.
How do I redeem the credit?
When you dine at any of the above facilities on 'FOUR,' you must charge to your room by charging the bill to your room. Credit may be redeemed only by posting the food and beverage bill to the room while checked into the hotel.
May I use my full credit at the end of my stay or do I have to use each day?
Credit is accrued on a daily basis and must be redeemed daily. The credit cannot be used before it is accrued.
May I apply unused credit towards my rate?
Unused credit may not be applied to rates, taxes, future stays, early check-in, or late check-out, and is not transferable to other reservations.
Experience Fee is not applied to the following: Group Rooms (on a negotiated rate), Negotiated Business Transient, Contracted Business, Hotel Special rates
