A SERIES OF MINDFUL VIDEOS TO KEEP YOU SANE
YOTEL has partnered with Mindfresh, a company which provides inspiration for thoughtful meditation in the modern workplace and developed a fun, quick and instructional video series showcasing how you can easily relax and unwind while away from home. You can also find the videos on our dedicated YOTEL TV channel allowing you to 'wake-up,' 'get motivated' and 'unwind' through a morning, afternoon and evening routine. Each video includes a series of movements or positions aimed to help travellers be more mindful, healthy and 'at home' throughout the day.
AM: This sequence of stretches is intentionally designed to gently wake the body from sleep in the comfort of your cabin. Often, we throw ourselves out of bed in the morning, setting the tone for the day ahead. By starting the day off with awareness and intention, we carry it with us into our relationships, work and experiences. This sequence takes just a few minutes to mindfully lengthen the muscles, warm up the joints and increase circulation.
AFTERNOON: By the time afternoon rolls around, many of us have been sitting for an extended period of time. Whether it's working at a computer, travelling on a plane or watching a show, sitting for too long leads to brain fog. This sequence is designed to be a mid-day pick-me-up. Boost blood flow throughout the body, practice finding balance, release tension in the hips and tune up your body posture through opening up the shoulders all in a few minutes, in-cabin.
PM: After a demanding day, many of us have a hard time winding down before bed. If we head to sleep with a tense body and racing mind, we are guaranteed to wake up in the middle of the night. Since tomorrow promises another challenge and it’s important to wake up refreshed, this evening series was designed to release the day. Lose the stress in the neck, relax the lower back with twists and a forward fold, calm your nervous system with an even-part breath and end with yoga nidra, relaxing each part of the body for a restful night’s sleep.
