Sitting atop Telegraph Hill, the 210-foot Coit Tower is a key part of the San Francisco skyline. Named for Lillie Hitchcock Coit, a firefighter patron and well-known San Francisco figure, the tower was opened in 1933. Visitors can take a complete tour of the tower and see its famous murals, painted in 1934.
