San Francisco Int'l Airport

By rail

Other than local BART services, San Francisco is not well served by trains. However, Amtrak’s Coast Starlight train runs from Los Angeles in the south up to Seattle in the north, and on to Vancouver, British Columbia. Widely regarded as one of the most spectacular train routes in the USA – from the snow-covered peaks of the Cascade mountains to the shorelines of the Pacific Ocean, the Starlight calls at Oakland for connections to and from San Francisco.

Getting around

Public transport: download the MuniMobile app or buy a Clipper Card and you’ll have low-cost tickets at your fingertips to use on the MUNI metro, buses, and streetcars. Civic Center station is a two-minute walk from the hotel, and the F Market & Wharves streetcar stops just outside the hotel.
Ferries: services to and from Sausalito in Marin County run to and from the Ferry Building at Embarcadero; while further along Embarcadero you’ll find services to Oakland, Alameda and Alcatraz.
Taxis: cab and car ride apps (Uber, Lyft, Wingz, etc.) work well in San Francisco and are a great way to get around quickly without breaking the bank.
