Joux Lake

Lac de Joux is the largest body of water in the Jura mountain range, seated at an altitude of 1,004m. The area is popular with nature lovers with pristine natural sights and the lakeshore villages offer a wide range of restaurants, hotels, and activities during winter and summer.

During summer the water is ideal for swimming and water sports, with temperatures up to 24°C. In the winter, if the conditions are right, the lake completely freezes over to become the largest natural skating rink in Switzerland and Europe.
