YOTEL New York Times Square sits in Midtown Manhattan, two blocks from the Jacob Javits Center and within reach of Times Square and the Theatre District. It’s a Manhattan hotel built for people who want a base: smartly designed rooms, fast self check-in and a rooftop terrace with some of the best open-air skyline views any NYC hotel can offer.
The rooftop, home to Social Drink and Food, is one of the largest indoor-outdoor hotel rooftops in New York, with skyline views over Manhattan. This is a Times Square hotel that keeps the energy of Manhattan close while staying practical: subway, bus and airport connections are all nearby, and getting from room to street takes minutes.
Early bird? Our breakfast times run from 7am until 11am.
The hotel sits at 570 Tenth Avenue at West 42nd Street, on the western edge of Midtown. The Times Square-42 St / Port Authority Bus Terminal subway stop, served by the A, C and E lines, is about two avenue blocks east, connecting onward to the 1, 2, 3, 7, N, Q, R, W and S shuttle lines. Port Authority Bus Terminal itself sits right alongside, useful for regional bus arrivals.
For airports: JFK runs around 45 minutes by taxi or rideshare depending on traffic, or roughly an hour by AirTrain to Howard Beach and the A train. Newark Liberty is about 40 to 50 minutes by NJ Transit and subway, similar by car. LaGuardia is closest by distance but not always fastest: taxi or rideshare typically takes 25 to 45 minutes, with the M60 bus offering a cheaper, but slower subway connection.

Guide: Things to do nearby
Times Square is the obvious draw, and Broadway’s theatres cluster a walk or short subway ride east (the Theatre District is home to long-running shows as well as newer productions, with most venues between 44th and 53rd Street). Hudson Yards, a few minutes’ walk, holds The Vessel (reopened with timed-entry tickets) and The Edge, the observation deck with a glass floor 100 floors up.
Jacob Javits Center hosts major conventions right next door, and Hell’s Kitchen’s restaurant scene is on the doorstep for dinner. For a deeper local guide, see Things to do near YOTEL New York Times Square.
Rooftop terrace
For food beyond the rooftop, Green Fig serves all-day New American dining downstairs, and the Espresso Bar covers grab-and-go coffee and breakfast each morning.
What makes YOTEL different
YOBOT, a robotic luggage concierge with 150 storage bins, handles bags at check-in and check-out (equal parts useful and a genuinely good photo). Self-service check-in kiosks in the lobby mean arriving guests can skip the queue.
