Do you have any connecting rooms?
We don't have rooms with connecting doors, but we do have family rooms facing each other, only separated by a corridor. Access is via a door (common only to these two rooms) and is strictly restricted to guests of this compartment. So when you open the door, you'll find a hall with a room on either side.
