Tax and temporary hold fee explained
Tax: We don’t charge any credit card fees at YOTEL Amsterdam or for hotel service. Pricing for hotels in Amsterdam is subject to the City Tax (mandatory fee) at 7% of the accommodation costs, excluding breakfast.
Provision: Please note, we require a mandatory incidental deposit of €50.00 per cabin. The incidental fees will be released during check-out. A pre-authorisation will place the amount in a holding-state and temporarily reduce one's credit card limit, but it is NOT a transaction charge and will not be reflected in one's credit card statement. The pre-authorised amount will be released typically after 14 days. For assurance, guests are encouraged to check with their respective bank to confirm the above. This fee may be higher in case of long-stay bookings.
How do I cancel a booking and what is your policy?
A booking made directly with us, via our website or via our reservations department (email/phone), can be cancelled by contacting us on the following email address [email protected] and number +31 20 787 0180.
Instead, a booking made on a third party company (Booking.com/Expedia/Hoteliers/…) can be cancelled only by contacting the company utilised to book. Please, contact the email address or phone number you see on your booking confirmation.
Cancellation policies vary, depending on the rate chosen for the booking:
- Pay Later rate is based on flexible terms & conditions, meaning payment at arrival and free cancellation up to 3pm the day before arrival date;
- Pay Now rate is based on non-refundable terms & conditions, meaning no reimbursement of the amount pre-paid, if the booking is cancelled or modified;
- Other promotional rates may have different payment and cancellation conditions; always check with us or with the company you booked with.
How do I amend a booking made through a third party website?
You will need to contact the company you booked with to make any changes.
